After months of speculation and fast-paced developments on the Korean Peninsula, the Trump-Kim summit has been scheduled for June 12 in Singapore. In the weeks preceding the summit, the U.S. and North Korea, as well as the rest of Northeast Asia, will prepare for an historic meeting that might reopen negotiations on North Korea’s nuclear program and possibly curtail the policy of “maximum pressure” that the United States and its allies have followed during the Trump administration.
