North Korea has a robust nuclear warhead program, as well as missiles capable of hitting South Korea, Japan, and the United States. Past efforts to negotiate limitations on or elimination of these programs have not succeeded, and sanctions have been only partially successful in slowing the progress of these programs. Kelsey Davenport, Director for Nonproliferation Policy at the Arms Control Association will share perspectives on North Korea, its nuclear and missile programs, and the implications for global stability of both the programs and the U.S. and international responses. There will be ample time for dialogue and questions.
