The operations of the U.N. Panel of Experts on sanctions on North Korea are set to cease at the end of April as the Panel’s current mandate expires. Russia’s veto on a U.N. Security Council resolution to extend the mandate will mark the conclusion of the U.N. body, which has been tasked with monitoring compliance with the sanctions regime.
