On May 21, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Joe Biden will hold their first in-person summit. While the recently concluded North Korea policy review is certain to be on the agenda, the two leaders are likely to also discuss how the United States and South Korea can better cooperate on immediate challenges such as the pandemic, critical shortages in supply chains, and longer-term issues such climate change.

KEI will host a discussion on the summit outcomes and what they might mean for U.S.-Korea relations in the final year of President Moon’s term in office. Please send any questions for the panels to Yong Kwon at [email protected] by Friday, May 21, 2021.
