[Webcast] The U.S.-ROK Alliance and Burden Sharing: A Conversation with Walter “Skip” Sharp

*All webcasts are listed in Eastern Time*

The United States and South Korea failed to conclude a new special measures agreement (SMA) on cost sharing when the current agreement expired at the end of 2019. It looked as though an agreement would be reached in late March, but the United States ultimately declined South Korea’s offer and proceeded with furloughing thousands of South Koreans that work for U.S. Forces Korea.

KEI will host a discussion with Walter “Skip” Sharp on the issues that have prevented the United States and South Korea from concluding a new SMA.

This event will be livestreamed on Zoom with an interactive Q&A session.
