
Andrea Lee is the co-founder and CEO of Uri Tours Inc, a tour operator based in the United States. Uri Tours has over 10 years of experience in designing safe and custom trips to the DPRK and assists a broad range of individuals, institutions and corporations in making DPRK travel possible and efficient. Ms. Lee manages the day-to-day operations of the company and oversees a core staff of DPRK travel experts. Under her leadership, the company has earned a reputation as the premier American provider of North Korea tours. She has a keen interest in honing cultural, language and regional expertise among all staff members, and in developing healthy business practices and relationships with DPRK partners. In addition, Ms. Lee is a practicing lawyer and has advised clients in matters relating to DPRK investment and market entry in view of international sanctions and export controls laws.
Prior to focusing her career on DPRK-related matters, Andrea Lee was formerly a corporate attorney at the New York offices of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. She specialized in the formation and structuring of complex international and domestic investment vehicles, and counseled private equity funds, hedge fund and other types of sophisticated investment funds in aspects of fund formation and corporate law. Ms. Lee has helped to form funds ranging in size from US$25 million up to US$2.5 billion.
Ms. Lee is admitted to practice in the states of New York and New Jersey. She received her J.D. cum laude from New York Law School and her B.A. from Bowdoin College, where she majored in Government with a concentration on comparative politics.
