Jennifer Deibert is committed to seeking peace across divides and currently serves as DPRK Program Director with American Friends Service Committee based in California, USA. Before joining AFSC, Jennifer served with Mennonite Central Committee in Chuncheon, Republic of Korea in various positions from 2014-2021, managing exchange programs in China and South Korea, development projects in China, and humanitarian programming in DPRK. Jennifer also served as a copy editor at The Gioi Publishing House in Hanoi, Vietnam from 2011-12.
AFSC has a long history of involvement on the Korean peninsula with the first AFSC delegation to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in 1980. AFSC has most recently worked with farmers in the DPRK to increase yields on cooperative farms through testing new innovations. AFSC also occasionally organizes additional education and training opportunities for DPRK individuals, institutions, and government agencies on issues of practical concern to Koreans, promoting exchange with other countries.
Jennifer is a graduate of Fresno Pacific University and is also a part time farmer growing organic heirloom vegetables near Reedley at The Vegetable Patch.
