The National Committee on North Korea and the East-West Center are pleased to announce the launch of a new pilot project, North Korea in the World.
For decades, American policymakers have had limited substantive information about North Korea in their consideration of U.S. policy options, with the exception of the question of North Korea’s nuclear weapons program, and in more recent times, human rights.
The North Korea in the World website is designed to provide policymakers, researchers, journalists and the general public with a broader perspective about North Korea through its collection of curated information, data, and analysis on the external diplomatic and economic relations of North Korea (formally known as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea or DPRK).
The website will be updated on a continual basis with incoming data from across a wide variety of sources and will periodically incorporate new features and datasets. An expert set of advisors will regularly review and assess the site’s contents. Anyone with questions or comments on the project may contact us with their inquiries.
The project co-directors are Keith Luse, National Committee on North Korea, and Satu Limaye, East-West Center in Washington.
