This amendment to H.R. 2112 (the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2012) prohibits U.S. food for peace funding for food aid to the DPRK. It was introduced by Rep. Ed Royce, and was passed by voice vote on June 16 at 9:02 PM after four minutes of deliberation. The amendment was rejected in the legislation's Conference Committee, and replaced with a call for adequate monitoring of food aid programs.
