This EMOP plan was released by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on April 29, 2011. The EMOP aims at scaling up ongoing food assistance to support over 3.5 million vulnerable people through a 12-month period. The primary beneficiaries are women and children.
