Panmunjom Declaration on Peace, Prosperity and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula
This UN Security Council Resolution, adopted after North Korea's launch of a Hwasong-15 ICBM, expands sanctions on the export of energy products to North Korea; introduces new sectoral sanctions on North Korean exports; and contains other provisions related to North Korean shipping and overseas laborers.
Annual report of the UN's Special Rapporteur on North Korean Human Rights, calling for an approach balancing accountability and engagement, and warning of potential humanitarian impact of sanctions.
UN Security Council Resolution 2375, adopted unanimously in the wake of what North Korea described as a test of a two-stage thermonuclear weapon, condemned the test and imposed several new sanctions measures. These include a ban on North Korean textile exports; restrictions on energy exports to North Korea; a prohibition on issuing new work authorizations to North Korean nationals; and sanctions designations against several major North Korean government institutions.
UN Security Council Resolution 2371, adopted on August 5, 2017 in response to two North Korean ICBM tests, adds to the international North Korea sanctions regime by banning North Korea's export of coal, iron, seafood, and lead; prohibiting new investments in North Korea; and deciding that third countries may not increase the number of work authorizations issued for DPRK nationals.
